Comprehensive Adenocarcinoma Sub-typing Predicts Outcome After Lung Cancer Resection

      Background: Current lung adenocarcinoma pathological classification, published in 2004 by the World Health Organisation, has limited clinical utility. A new multidisciplinary classification has been proposed by the European Respiratory Society, the American Thoracic Society and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer; its validation thus far is limited. This project investigated the correlation between lung adenocarcinoma subtype and patient survival.
