A Single Institution Experience of Surgically Resected Thymomas—Clinicopathological Analysis

Introduction: Epithelial thymic tumours (ETT), comprise the majority of thymomas and are neoplasms arising from the epithelial thymuic cells and constitute 30% of anterior mediastinal masses in adults. These tumours present a broad spectrum of clinical and morphological characteristics and the small series of known patients makes establishing a standard treatment difficult. This study aims to analyse the clinicopathological characteristics of thymomas encountered in a single Thoracic Surgical unit.
