An 83 year-old arteriopathic patient was investigated for shortness of breath. Transthoracic
echocardiography images were suboptimal with poor echo windows. An echo-bright ‘extracardiac’
structure compressing the basal lateral region of the left ventricle and left atrium
was noted. Further imaging was requested to characterise the lesion.
